| Eye Examinations |

A comprehensive eye examination takes approximately 30 minutes and includes:

careful determination of your eyeglass prescription

evaluation of specific visual needs such as computer use

eye health evaluation, including detection of cataracts and monitoring their progression

neurological and binocular evaluation

color vision and depth perception when indicated
-
measurement of intra-ocular pressure to detect glaucoma

retinal examination to detect diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes, and macular degeneration, and retinal holes and tears
-
explanation of results and questions answered
When it is considered important that your pupils be dilated, you will be informed so that you will be inconvenienced as little as possible. Dilation is usually scheduled at a later visit so that work and driving activities may be adjusted as necessary, and adequate time is available to complete the procedure. |

Contact Lens Fitting |

Our trained staff provides the patients with the proper training for wearing, cleaning and storing of lenses. They can also provide their expertise in the selection of color contact lenses for light and dark eyes. |

Treatment of Eye Infections |

Dr. Bindal is TPA certified, giving privileges to prescribe medicine to treat eye infections such as conjunctivitis (pink eye), corneal ulcers, and diseases such as glaucoma and uveitis. |

| Dr. Bindals training included the management of refractive surgery patients at the world renowned Cedars Sinai Hospital in Beverly Hills, CA. Dr. Bindal performs all pre-op and post-op visits and has a long standing relationship with Andrew Holzman, M.D. FACS, of Millennium Laser Eye Centers, one of Washingtons most experienced and reputable surgeons. Dr. Holzman is one of only a handful surgeons utilizing the LADARVision "flying spot" laser, providing better precision, stability, and healing time than other lasers more commonly used.
